...and said go to school in your pj's and it was good!
Ok, I may have added that last part! So don't quote that!
No melt downs today!! Yay, GO JUDE! :) He made one tiny "error" while cutting out a #3 today and he processed through it really well. I was so proud of him. Today was a lot of fun. The kids created a scene out of construction paper and markers of what God made on the 3rd day of Creation.

We talked about how God made seeds inside of our plants so that they could be grown again and again. Jude loved that because one of his favorite things to do these days is eat an apple, then break the core in two to be able to collect the seeds.
God's Word is alive, speaking to us in the day to day, in any season or age of life. I love that.
We practice singing the alphabet each day by touching each letter as we sing. It helps clarify the "elemenopee" part of the song. :)

We also do a little alphabet button game each day. We're still in the first 2 week introduction phase, so it's a lot of preschool review before we begin building on that foundation.

Selah loves to color! Each morning this week she has wanted to skip breakfast in order to start school. I know better than to do that. So we just skipped getting dressed today instead. :)
Benjamin kept himself busy playing with the air vent grate this morning and then sat up in his chair for some food.

I LOVE these little feet! :)

Selah asked to listen to that "Father's World God Song" again today, so we put it on while we made our craft. The kids hit "repeat" on it several times. I love that we're all learning the words. I'm falling in love with this hymn!
1. This is my Father's world,
and to my listening ears
all nature sings, and round me rings
the music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
his hand the wonders wrought.
2. This is my Father's world,
the birds their carols raise,
the morning light, the lily white,
declare their maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
he shines in all that's fair;
in the rustling grass I hear him pass;
he speaks to me everywhere.
3. This is my Father's world.
O let me ne'er forget
that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let the earth be glad!
