Evening Hike

The extra hour of daylight this week has been extra wonderful! Josh got home from work last night and we headed up the road to a nearby park. Just steps from the parking lot, the view opened up.
The kids ran up the path through the oak trees and we took a deep breath. Oh man, spring is coming; you can feel it in the air.
We kept trekking up the hill, working for that prized view.
It felt so good to be standing there, looking at the Cascade Range on our left and the Coastal Range on our right, and our beautiful city cradled in the valley below.
We live in a beautiful state!
The kids took over my camera and captured their own breathtaking views. ;)
Ah, and I love soaking up the beauty of creation with my family. Nothing beats time spent together like this.
And who can't help but feel good about extra daylight?
