Our first garden

Tonight, after the heat of the day, Grandma Janet helped us put in our first garden! It's a fall/winter garden. She helped us earlier in the week to plan which seeds to plant, prep the soil, etc. and she even brought along some starts for us and fencing. (Thank you Janet!) We all had so much fun, not only planting, but also with the prep and planning. The kids each got to plan out their own little garden area and plant their favorite veggies. Ben loved wielding the watering hose, and in the end he was filthy dirty! But I loved that the kids weren't afraid to get dirty. Now we hope and pray something comes up! ;)
