Selah's 4th Birthday

Selah's 4th birthday was last month and we had a great time celebrating it with our family and friends! But we never had our little family party (where our kids open their one special gift from us and we have a little cake). We ordered Selah's birthday present several weeks before her actual birthday, but later found out it was on back order and it would ship as soon as it could. I figured it would still arrive in time for her birthday, but in actuality, it just arrived YESTERDAY!! Yep, a month and a half later! She's been so patient to just wait for it to arrive and we all decided we'd just wait for it to do our little family party. So last night was the night and she was SO excited!! :)

She requested cake pops and helped bake and decorate them. Jude helped me wrap her gift and he made her card all by himself! It was really sweet to see the care he put into her gift. He'd say, "Mom, let's do a pink bow. Selah LOVES pink!" And when he made her card he drew a half pink, half blue heart in it because he knew she'd love that too, as well as stickers.

We sang happy birthday and she was so excited for her little cake pops. :)

Because of our new school schedule, Ben has been going to bed earlier, so he was already asleep when we had our little party.

SO excited to have gotten her DREAM LITE!! It was what she had hoped for.

Next we took the dream light into the bathroom, where we could shut the door and it was extra dark. All four of us crammed into the downstairs half bath to Oooo, and ahhhhh. When we were in there Jude said something like, "Wow, it's really dark." And Selah said, "Don't worry Jude, we have Dream Lite!" :)
Loving the glow...

We looked through the blurb book of when Selah was born, then Josh took this video with his phone of Selah singing the Dream Lite song... the ending cracked us up!!

It was pretty easy to get the kids into bed after the excitement and sugar, because they were excited to turn off the light and see the stars on the ceiling. They were asleep within minutes. Sugar crash? :)

Happy Birthday precious Selah. We love your bubbly spirit, your excitement for life, and your spunkiness! Thanks for being my little girl. I love you!! xoxo

Here are a few fun 4 year old pictures to share:
