When we first pulled in, we saw an old farmhouse that you can explore around. If you know me, then you know I was smitten! :) I loved reading the history on it, which I posted below. It was built in 1855, and oh my goodness, isn't it darling??!!
Selah and Ben made sketch books before we left the house so that they could draw the things they saw. Here they found a mushroom to sketch. ;)
And they saw ground squirrels at another farmhouse nearby.
It had a pretty old porch.
Next we took off exploring the Campbell boardwalk. The kids sketched hanging moss, wood knots & frogs.
Spying frogs.
