We spent a week in Sunriver the first week of June. We finished up school the last day of May, through our charter co-op and headed out the next day. Our friends, John & Hannah, and their sweet kids joined us. It was a lot of fun to bbq & eat well together, bike ride, swim, and stay up late talking. I also snapped some pics of their family while we were there. :)
Some of my favorite memories from that week were enjoying dinner on the back patio as the sun was going down. Often the kids would be splashing in the hot tub after dinner while we adults were kicked back with our feet up, enjoying the glow of the evening light and good conversation. Not to mention all the amazing food! John loves to cook, so we were spoiled with some great meals!
On our last day John and Hannah took off after lunch with their family to go explore the caves on their way home. Our family used that afternoon to bike the large loop along the river and it was just so beautiful and special to me! The wild purple iris flowers were blooming along the bike path, near the horses, and the prairie dogs were popping up out of their ground homes and the mountain was majestic above the river waters. Josh and I soaked up the time and conversations with our kids as we biked along the beauty.
Well, here are far too many pictures, but I just don't want to forget these memories. This is a special season of life, and I'm so thankful for every bit of it. xo
